Allie, previously known as Jenny and her four littermates were dumped off in somebody's front yard one summer morning in Texas. This person was not a "dog" person, so they contacted a relative of theirs. This person was a member of a Labrador Retriever Chat Board and came on asking for help. Las Vegas Labrador Rescue stepped in and saved all five of them. They were vetted and fostered by Chad and Glenna for almost two months and when they were well and healthy, they were flown to Las Vegas.

Jenny's new family were approved a few days before their arrival into Las Vegas. They fell in love with Jenny's sister Allie's name, so upon her arrival, they changed her name to Allie as well. Allie joins an adorable Golden Retriever brother, Darby and is just loving her new life to its fullest.

Her new family has written the following of Allie!

We are so thrilled to have Allie as a member of our family!   My husband and I were considering a second dog as a companion for our Golden Retriever, Darby, (well, and ourselves of course!) and decided we wanted to get a rescue dog, preferably a lab.  After having visited the Petfinder site and being linked to LVLR, we absolutely fell in love with the pups from Texas.  I think it was “doggie karma” that we were paired with Allie (originally Jenny).  As soon as I saw her the day we picked her up, I knew she was a perfect match for our fur family. Even the cats like her! A smart little bundle of joyous energy, she already knows many commands and is becoming an expert on her leash. She is inseparable from Darby and is rapidly learning the rules of the house.  She took to her crate instantly and rarely fusses about anything.  It’s almost as if she is as grateful to be a part of our family as we are to have her.  Thank you Lisa and all the volunteers for making our Happy Tail wag!!
