Andie is a very sweet, but typical Labrador puppy. Unfortunately for her, she ended up in a shelter at 2 months old. A very good friend of LVLR's and a long time rescue worker in New Orleans, pulled her, along with her littermate, Bosco (See Happy Tails for his story), and shipped them to Las Vegas to be adopted out.

We only had this gorgeous girl for a few short days when a great woman saw her face and fell in love. It didn't take but the application process and the home visit, and then she was home for good. She now spends her days in doggie daycare and her evenings and weekends with her wonderful new mom.

After moving to Las Vegas from CT in November of 2006 I knew that I wanted a dog.  But I didn't want to go through the sadness of visiting a shelter because I would take them all home if I could.  When I found out about the LV Lab Rescue I knew it was for me.  In January of this year I was visiting the website once again and found Andie.  I don't know if I believe in human love at first sight, but as soon as I saw her picture- I just had to have her.  She was 3 months old when I adopted her.  She was found wondering the streets with a small pack of dogs down in New Orleans and a generous donation to the rescue saved her from a senseless fate.  Roxanne and Lisa were absolutely wonderful with me and the adoption process.  Andie is the love of my life.  She is funny and caring and no matter what kind of day I have had, all I have to do is look at that face of hers and my heart just melts over again.  She spends her days at Doggie District off of Cheyenne and Rainbow playing and learning how to socialize with dogs of all shapes and sizes.  We visit the dog park frequently off of Tenaya and Craig where Andie has played with Allie, Tank, and Tuscan (all of whom were adopted through the rescue.)  I am now moving back to CT- where there is grass and trees.  I bought a house with 1.5 acres of that green stuff that Vegas just seems to lack.  Andie will get a sister in July- a dog who will also be rescued.  I cannot thank Lisa enough for all of her efforts with this rescue.  I am looking forward to a life filled with lint brushes, wet noses and dogbreath kisses.  Thank you LV Lab Rescue!
