| Bella's Story
Bella was
an owner surrender along with her sister, Weeko. She was
a result of bad divorce and was in much need of someone
to love her and a forever home. Our foster family,
Andrea, took in both girls and spent a few weeks loving
on her and getting them ready to be adopted out.
Josh and
Beth (who adopted Gracie) knew that they were wanting to
adopt a second dog. They had been watching the site
waiting for the right dog. They had some vacations
planned for the summer, so they were waiting until those
were coming to a close.
They saw
Bella on the sight and just fell in love. They had one
final trip planned, but knew they wanted her, so we held
her for them to return.
End of
July, they got home and brought Bella into their home.
She now has two doting parents and an adorable sister
(See Gracie's Happy Tail on the main page). She is
fitting right in and loving her new life!
It’s been a
wonderful but busy time for Gracie and Bella over
the past several months since Bella’s arrival. At
first, Bella was a little shy around Gracie but now
they are best friends. Bella still tends to like her
“alone time” and she is definitely more reserved
than Gracie, but they have plenty of moments where
they love to wrestle and play with each other. We’ve
taken them on lots of trips and outings around town,
and the girls couldn’t be more different. At the
park, Gracie loves to chase and play with other
dogs, while Bella only plays fetch with her Daddy.
But if you get Bella around water, she is a true
Lab!! We cannot get her out. She would swim and play
all day if we’d let her (and we usually do). Gracie,
on the other hand, is only brave enough to get wet
up to her knees and that only lasts for a few
minutes and then she’ll go find another dog to play
with. I think Bella likes this since this is her
only time to have our attention without Gracie
butting in constantly.
Gracie and Bella
have been such a joy to our lives. We are currently
preparing them for their new human sister arriving
in May, so we’ll keep you posted on how they do!!
