I became interested in Rescue after joining the Lab Chat Board and seeing people so passionate about Lab Rescue.  I contacted Lisa, put in my application to foster and now we are fostering.  We have been fostering for a little over a month now and have had 2 foster dogs, soon to be getting our third.  I think we have been extremely lucky with the dogs we have taken in, Marv a 7 year old lab was our 1^st, then we took in Jake a 10 month old.  The hardest part so far has been keeping up with 3 labs at one time, but they are wonderful and loving which makes it all worth while.  Marv stole our hearts and we decided to adopt him and Jake found his forever home.  Taking Jake to his forever parents was a great experience.  His new family was wonderful.  We are looking forward to getting our third foster in the next week.  Fostering labs does take up some of your extra time, but in the end these dogs give so much more than they take from you and knowing that you are giving these dogs a second chance at a great home is very rewarding for myself, my family and my dogs, and we are so glad we contacted Lisa, she does a great job in finding fantastic homes for these dogs and supporting her foster families.
