Kevin and I started fostering first for selfish reasons.  We have 2 dogs, Penny and Mr. Rascal, but we were looking for a third to complete our family.  We were not sure that we could handle 3 dogs and thought that fostering would be a good way to find out.  We have come to the realization that no amount of dogs would ever be enough and we'd always find room for one more to foster!

We have been fostering for several months now.  We have helped find wonderful homes for several very special dogs that we will never forget.  At times the fosters can be quite trying . . . the crying all night long, the accidents in the house, the counter-surfing, the barking at 2 am . . .  It often makes us wonder why we ever decided to foster.  However, every time our foster goes to a home, our house feels empty.  The joy that the dogs bring to our house is unbelievable!  The pure energy and unconditional love of the dogs makes every accident, every sleepless night, every bark at 2 am worth it.  Nothing can compare to the feeling of knowing that such an innocent creature gets another chance at life!
