This gorgeous little girl had a very rough start at life. She was dumped in the shelter as a small pup to begin. During some sort of birth trauma, this poor little thing lost vision from one eye.

If that wasn't hard enough, shortly after, a shelter worker slammed her tail in the door - forcing the vet to amputate the last few inches.

You'd think that all that was more than enough, but after all that, she was scheduled to be put to sleep because they had been in there too long and showed no sign of being pulled.

Our good friend in New Orleans, once again, came to the rescue of Kaylee, along with five more of her littermates. She was taken from there and flown here to immediately go home with her new mom.

Her new mom and brother and sister absolutely adore this little thing and cannot imagine their life without her.

Stay tuned for Kaylee's happy tail!
