Lexi's Story -
On March 4th, a
fellow Lab Board member, also involved in Lab
Rescue in Texas, flew into Las Vegas. The Rescue
she works for had received a litter of pups a
few weeks before this. After being nursed back
to health, she was cleared to make the flight to
Las Vegas in hopes that Las Vegas Labrador
Rescue could place her. We only had her for 3 or
4 days when Victoria and her family saw her face
and decided they wanted her. The following
Saturday, March 12th, we drove to Barstow, CA to
drop her off with her new forever family. The
following was written by the Luecke family about
their experience with Lexi, (They have since
then adopted a 2nd girl from Las Vegas Labrador
Rescue, Kiara.. please see her Happy Tail on the
main page!)
The
first time I saw Lexi was on the Lab
Board and I was instantly drawn to
her. What a precious little face.
How could we resist? How could
somebody just throw this little life
away? She had a very long trip from
Texas to Las Vegas then to us in
California. I think she would have
to agree that it was all worth it!
My
husband was a little harder to
convince but after much whining and
begging by me and my three children,
we convinced him that Lexi should
come live with us! She has done
wonderfully in our home. We have
Spartacus a 95 lb. lab who adores
this little girl and three children
that think the world of her. She is
definitely "The Princess."
I’m so
glad we could save at least one
little life! As you can see she
loves California! Thank you LVLR for
a precious gift!
