| Loder's Story -
Loder
was an owner surrender along with his brother Jake (See
his happy tail on the main page). His family didn't have
the time to work with them so they handed them over to
Las Vegas Labrador Rescue. Becky, our main volunteer,
had been on the search for a yellow boy to complete
their "Variety Pack". (Becky was the one who adopted our
very first girl, Ciara). When I got the email from the
owners, I immediately forwarded the pictures to her
asking if he was the one. They both fell hard for him
and about a week later, we drove to Barstow to pick
Loder up from our foster home in Southern Cal. Below is
what Becky and Lenny wrote about adopting their SECOND
LVLR dog.
Many good things have
happened since rescuing Ciara a year ago - she is an
absolute lovebug and we can’t imagine life without her.
We’ve met new best friends and have a blast hanging out
and going on adventures. We’ve also got to meet some
incredible dogs along the way and have made a positive
impact on so many lives. So, when Lisa emailed me on a
Tuesday, asking if I’d like to meet two yellow boys that
Sunday, one of which could complete our Variety Pack, I
couldn’t resist.
On that Sunday, Lisa and I
drove to Barstow, CA to meet up with Andrea who had the
two yellow boys. I swooned – they were both so
adorable, but one of the boys, Loder, stole my heart (in
person as well as in the picture Lisa had sent). He
came home with us that day and has been a wonderful
addition to our family. We now have our Variety Pack.
