Typically we are so inundated with owner surrenders, we can't make it down to pull from our very own shelter.. and when we did, there would be usually 3-5 labs and all would have a waiting list.

One Friday afternoon, I got a call from another rescue group here in Las Vegas, saying she had pulled some of her breed from the shelter and there were TONS of purebred labs in there. With the shelter being so crowded, they were euthanizing 10-20 dogs PER DAY. I immediately called my foster home and we made plans to go try to save at least a couple.

In the same room that we saw Mason (see his Happy Tail as well)  we saw this adorable, shy yellow girl.. just standing in her kennel looking confused, surrounded by about 8 or 9 other dogs. There was dog poop everywhere and she looked so sad willing us to take her. Of course we did!

We pulled her along with Mason  and since they were so overcrowded and they had not vetted her either, we were able to just pull her and leave.

After a long, wonderful life, we lost our golden retriever to cancer and weren't sure we were ready to open our hearts to another animal.   However, when Lisa emailed us a picture of Molly, we knew we had to have her in our home.

Molly is the sweetest thing and we can't imagine how anyone could leave her.  It broke our hearts to hear how she was found.  We choose to believe that she was meant for us instead.  Molly is extremely loving and very smart.  She's eager to please and is doing very well in training.  She loves her daily outings in our neighborhood trails and is very social with people and other dogs.  She loves rides in the Jeep and going to the dog park to play.  Molly also loves to watch TV and sits completely still staring at the other dogs on "The Dog Whisperer".  It's very funny to watch her!  Of all of her new toys, her favorite is a huge "bone" that she carries around the house hanging from her lips.  Being true to her nature, we don't lose things anymore as everything she finds she brings to us!  :)  We could never have imagined we'd fall so in love with her so quickly!  She's a wonderful addition to our family.

Thank you, Lisa and your "helpers", for your hard work and commitment to giving Molly and others like her a better life.  I'm certain ours is not the only family you have made complete!
