Pippin's Story

 

This wonderful senior was used and abused his whole life, and then given up on. He was used for the first 7 years of his life as a stud dog. His gentle temperment never wavered and he did just as his owner's wanted. At 8 years old, they decided his days as a stud dog were over and that they didn't need him anymore.

He was sent to live with a family who had adopted one of this "breeders" puppies and they willingly took him in. After a few months of having him, they decided that the bag of dog food a month to care for him was too expensive and that they wanted to give him up.

The "breeder" would not take him back and told her to contact a Labrador Rescue. Enter LVLR. We happily took this sweet guy in and the very next day he went to live with a family of another couple who has adopted from us.
