Sammi's Story

This gorgeous girl was taken in by Las Vegas Labrador Rescue's guardian angel, Kathy. Upon meeting Kathy, she was Heartworm positive and in much need of some love and attention. Kathy took her into her heart and home, got her treated for heartworms and took care of her while she recovered.

Once Sammi was all done with her treatments (after 60 days), she was put on a flight here to Las Vegas to meet her VERY anxiously awaiting new family, Maryann. It was love at first sight for Maryann and her entire family. Sammi has settled right in and is loving her new life. Her family has written the following of her experience with rescuing Sammi.

After Sammi's 60 day heartworm recovery, she was flown here from Texas. The long wait to get Sammi was well worth it though. She is just a Furr-ball of Love! And so beautiful inside AND out! Her pictures really do not do her justice!

We have four small kids, all under the age of 7. So it was important to find a dog that would be "kid tolerant." My husband and I went by the local shelter with no luck. Then, I discovered the petfinder website which led me to Lisa and
LVLR. I fell in love with Sammi's picture instantly! It didn't take long for the rest of the family to follow suit.

Sammi turned out to be a perfect match! She is so gentle with our kids and has a very calm demeanor. She is also a very Happy girl... Lots of tail wagging is the norm. Sammi also likes to play chase, which consists of everyone chasing her for something she has in her mouth!

Sammi has definatley won over our hearts and has made us "Lifetime Labbie Lovers!" We will be supporting LVLR for many
years to come-
